Esmerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia

Various

What will you do?
A great adventure through the snowy forests and valleys of Argentine Patagonia, where we will be able to observe the famous Fueguina mobs, castoreiras, rivers and lakes. A magical walk - surrounded by the Andes - until we reach the beautiful Laguna Esmeralda.

We left Ushuaia on the beautiful Route 3 to the starting point of the trail.

After hearing instructions from our guide on our 4.7 km trek, we entered a dense forest of Lengas, walking on spongy soil, known as mobs. We follow the banks of streams of unique color. Soon we will come across the Castoreiras - dikes built by the beavers -, which have a great impact on the environment. Our guide will take a break to tell us this story, as well as other characteristics of the region's flora and fauna.

After 2 hours of walking with rest stops, we arrive at the famous Laguna Esmeralda, which is fed by the imposing glacier Ojo del Albino - composing one of the most beautiful postcards of the Argentine Patagonia. A truly magnificent landscape!

Taking advantage of this landscape, we will have our snack while listening to curiosities about this region of nature and culture so rich.
