Today is the day to meet Historical and Modern Lima in style! We start with a city tour of the main sights: Plaza de Armas: Admire the grand cathedral and the Government Palace. Catacombs of the Monastery of San Francisco: Explore this underground maze full of bones and ancient stories. Huaca Puclana: Marvel at this pre-Inca adobe pyramid in Miraflores (external visit). Good morning! Today we will dive deep into the fascinating Inca history, exploring some of Cusco's most impressive archaeological sites. Sacsayhuaman: We begin with the majestic fortress of Sacsayhuaman, famous for its huge perfectly fitted stones and panoramic views of Cusco. Qoricancha: Then we visit the Temple of the Sun, Qoricancha, where you will see the fusion of Inca architecture with colonial architecture in the Convent of Santo Domingo. Tambomachay: Later, we explored Tambomachay, the Inca Bath, known for its advanced sources and hydraulic engineering. Puca Pucara: Our next stop is Puca Pucara, the Red Fortress, which served as a military checkpoint, offering incredible views of the surrounding landscapes. Highlight of the day: In the late afternoon, your guide will accompany you to the EXPEDITION train station for boarding to the charming village of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), ensuring a journey full of discoveries.

Today we will visit Machu Picchu! Go to the archaeological sanctuary and let yourself be entangled by the powerful energy of this sacred place. Walk through the ancient Incas trails, contemplate the stunning views and feel the mystique of: Temple of the Sun: An impressive temple that was dedicated to the sun god, Inti. The windows of this temple are strategically positioned to capture the first rays of the sun during the solstices. Temple of the Three Windows: This temple offers a spectacular view and is famous for its three trapezoidal windows that symbolize the three worlds of the Inca world: the world of the dead, the world of the living and the world of the gods. Intihuatana: A solar clock carved in stone, which the Incas used to predict solstices and equinoxes. It is one of the most important archaeological artifacts of Machu Picchu. Condor Temple: A fascinating structure that combines Inca architecture with spiritual symbolism, representing a flying condor. Between 4:30 and 5:00, we leave for Rainbow Mountain. Prepare for a challenging walk with incredible views. The service is in van with a group of people, and the trip to Cusipata district lasts about two hours, where we will make a stop for breakfast (simple restaurant). Then we continue for another hour on dirt road until the beginning of the trail. The walk takes about 1:30h per stretch, with beautiful views of the snowy mountains and local animals such as llamas, condors, alpacas and Andean birds. At the top, we will pause to admire the Colored Mountain. On the way back, our transport will be waiting for you to take back to Cusipata for lunch (simple restaurant). Then we moved on to Cusco, arriving around 5:30. Important: This tour requires good physical preparation, with challenging climbs and maximum altitude of 5000 meters.
