As soon as you arrive in Ushuaia, a properly identified Exploration person will be waiting for you to take you to your accommodation. The city is located at the southernmost point of the entire planet, for this reason it is popularly known as the "City of the end of the world". According to the time when you arrive in the city, you will be able to take some self-catering tours of the streets near the hotel. We indicate that you visit some local restaurants and taste of the exotic Cetola dish, which is a rare crustacean of the region similar to a giant crab.
Important: Be prepared for the cold. The ideal is to wear coats in the style of layers, so you can take them off as you walk and your body warms up. A second skin, an intermediate coat and a waterproof complete the three layers. Wear trekking shoes – or equivalent – that are comfortable. Take a pair of gloves and hats and whatever you find convenient to protect yourself. Even with the cloudy day, never forget the sunscreen. In this area the incidence of ultraviolet rays is higher than we are accustomed to. Also protect your eyes using sunglasses.
After an excellent breakfast at the hotel we will leave at the appropriate time for our amazing tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park. With the entrances already included in our package, we will take a two-hour walk through beautiful landscapes and we will be able to observe charming woods and then we will arrive at the nearby restaurant in the campsite area of the park.
We will take a break for lunch while we enjoy the nature and harmony that inhabits the park. After lunch we will make an exciting canoe route to Lapataia Bay, where the end of the Pan-American road is located, this activity is quite safe and fun. At the end, we will return to the hotel and the rest of the day will be free.
Our day begins at the port of Ushuaia, where we embark on an exciting navigation through the legendary Beagle Canal, one of the most iconic landscapes of Patagonia. As we follow the calm waters, we are welcomed by a natural spectacle: islands full of sea lions, cormorants perched on the rocks and, if we are lucky, even dolphins playing around the boat.
Our journey leads us to the famous Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse, known as the Farol of the End of the World, a postcard-worthy setting. Then we go to the islets of the canal, where we can observe close-up colonies of seabirds and feel the immensity of this wild and remote territory. The icy wind of Fireland and the snowy mountains at the bottom make the moment even more special.
After many photos and immersion in nature, we returned to Ushuaia, bringing in memory the grandeur of this extreme part of the planet.
Today is a special day and much awaited, since we will arrive in El Calafate, a city known worldwide for being the city that houses the gigantic Glacier Perito Moreno. On departure from the airport in El Calfate a person from the Explore properly identified will be waiting with a sign to his name, to take him directly to his hotel in a private car. The rest of the day will be free so you can enjoy it as you please.
We will have our breakfast at the hotel and in the morning we will go on tour to one of the most expected sights of our trip: The giant Glacier Perito Moreno which is one of the most imposing glaciers and has already been considered the "eight natural wonder in the world". We'll be holding Ice Trekking here where we'll walk over the glacier, and with a little luck we'll be able to see huge blocks of ice falling off into the lake. There will be free time on the panoramic observation catwalks, strategically positioned to get as close to the glacier as possible. In the afternoon we return to El Calafate where the rest of the day will be free to enjoy as you prefer.
Breakfast at the hotel and in appropriate time transfer to El Calafate airport and end of our services. Even if you wish, you can extend your adventure, consult an Explorer agent and customize your adventure to measure.
